Nethercott & Allston Move On

Coggeshall Town Football Club are sad to announce the departure of two members of last season’s management team. Stuart Nethercott and Jordan Allston have both left the club to pursue different opportunities else where.

Nethercott leaves the club after many seasons to concentrate on his media work at his former club Millwall, while Allston who has been goalkeeper coach at the club for the past two seasons takes on a new role within the Football Association framework, coaching young keepers.

Manager Graeme Smith commented on the departures and said “Both Stuart and Jordan will be missed by all at the club, they have been an important part of the success the club has had in recent seasons and they leave with our best wishes as they both take on new roles elsewhere. Stuart has been with me from the very early days when the team was in the Border League Division One, in fact he was the first coach I ever appointed at the club when I first took control of the team 5 years ago and he has been with us on the whole journey to where we are now.

With the appointment off Matt Lock to the club as player-coach I will not be replacing Stuart as I think Matt can pick up the work that Stuart has done for us in recent times, but I will be looking to appoint a new goalkeeper coach ASAP as the season is fast approaching”.

Everyone at West Street would like to wish both Stuart & Jordan all the best in their new roles and look forward to welcoming back to the club as supporters.
