Match Preview – Mildenhall Town

The SeedGrowers head to Mildenhall on the back of two straight wins in the league, without conceding a goal against two sides in Grays Athletic and AFC Sudbury who have been tipped to battle for the promotion places this season. Coggeshall head to Suffolk for the second time in a week after Tuesday’s trip to Sudbury, whilst sitting in third place in their debut Isthmian League season. Having only lost a single game all season in the league, the SeedGrowers find themselves unbeaten in their last eight Bostik fixtures with the defeat away to Dereham the only sour point to date.

Mildenhall on the other hand are enjoying their second straight season in the Bostik League having achieved promotion a couple of years ago. “The Hall”, as they are nicknamed, currently sit in seventeenth place in the Bostik North table – winning two games, drawing four and also losing four so far. Mildenhall have only lost two of their last five games – including two impressive wins over Dereham (who beat Coggeshall in August) and Soham Town Rangers. Despite their low position in the league, the Suffolk based outfit have already scored seventeen league goals this season. The SeedGrowers on the other hand are the leagues leading scorers with twenty-two goals in just ten games.

It is worth mentioning, that any SeedGrowers who are travelling to support Graeme Smith’s side should take note of a beer festival which will be taking place at the home of Mildenhall on Saturday, with over twelve different Ale’s and Ciders on offer! Also, if you can’t make the game and would like to listen to second by second coverage, you can do so by clicking here, where live radio coverage is being provided CW Sport – please note that coverage will not be available via the link until 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon.
