The SeedGrowers will travel to a much changed Basildon United, without a number of first team regulars as Graeme Smith’s injury list continues to grow. Smith’s side will also be desperate to return to winning ways after their impressive unbeaten run was ended last week at the hands of promotion chasers, Maldon & Tiptree. The defeat was Coggeshall’s second defeat in the league this season, with their only other defeat coming against Dereham back in August.

Basildon who started their first season in the Isthmian League by winning the opening seven league games have recently undergone major changes, not only a complete overhaul to their playing squad, but to their management team and they also have a new chairman! Since their change of management, Basildon are without a league which is something the SeedGrowers will have to be mindful of, a victory for the home side on Saturday will see them pull level in the league table with the SeedGrowers on the same number as points. ‘The Bees’ as their are commonly known have only conceded one goal in their last three league games, so Smith’s side will have to be on top form if they want to break down a tough Basildon defence.
