Champions 2017/18

Coggeshall Town Football Club ended a great week by being crowned Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Champions. The title was confirmed Tuesday night after the 4-2 win away at Felixstowe but the team topped off a tremendous week with another win against the third-placed team Stowmarket 3-2 at West Street on Saturday. It is the first time in the clubs history that they have ever been promoted to the Step 4 Isthmian League. An excellent run of results towards the end of the season meant that Coggeshall ended up winning the league by six points. The championship trophy was presented to the team after Saturday’s game in front of a crowd of 407 which shows just how much support for the club has grown over recent seasons. It is a real historic achievement to win the league and means the club have achieved back to back to back promotions in the last three seasons taking them from The Essex And Suffolk Border League to The Isthmian League. The club would like to thank all supporters who have followed the team home and away this season your support is greatly appreciated. The team have certainly given good value for money with only five defeats in the league all season and  scoring 145 goals the most in the country at our level , the team have only conceded 26 goals during the whole league campaign giving them an amazing + 119 goal difference which is a real stat to be proud of. The clubs presentation night is Saturday May 19th when all supporters are welcome when the Player of the season awards will be announced.
 


The Players and Management team celebrate the greatest achievement in the Clubs 140 year history, after beating Feliixtowe & Walton United 4 – 2 at the Goldstone Ground to win the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division. title at the first attempt. Date – Tuesday 1st May 2018, Goal scorers: Tom Monk, Aaron Cosgrave, Conor Hubble and Luke Wilson (Penalty). Attendance – 1541.
