Match Report

The Seedgrowers met Brentwood for the second time in five days as they travelled away for a league fixture against the blues.

Both sides started promisingly as fans knew the game would be an interesting one following on the from the Seedgrowers close victory the prior Tuesday evening. Dylan Logan made his debut for the club as he exhibited some nice skill down both flanks. Brentwood had more close chances than Coggeshall, forcing a few saves from Cafer, whilst at the other end, a number of ranged attempts from the Seedgrowers drew inches wide. The first half ended goalless, but was not without action.

The second half got underway as Brentwood hit the back of the net, only to be ruled offside shortly after. Former Seedgrower, Rob Harvey scored the opener as he made headway in the sixty-eighth minute. Ashley Nzala then made it two just ten minutes later as a deflected shot made it near impossible for Cafer to reach. A number of cautions were handed out in frustration and in attempts to hold onto a lead, whilst Brentwood managed to see the fixture out, despite valiant efforts from Coggeshall.
