Trials for next season’s U18’s SQUAD
We will again be competing on three fronts next season Thurlown Nunn Mid Week Youth Leagues CYDL A League and FA Youth Cup. any 16 or 17 year-old should contact our youth development manager Tim Claydon on 07496 810606 for details. This season has already met expectations, with a strong showing in the FA Youth Cup and great progress in the Thurlow Nunn, together with an excellent performance in the CYDL and related Cup competitions. Next season we look to step up again, so if you are a talented player looking to progress and have the opportunity to progress to senior Thurlow Nunn football we would be pleased to hear from you.
In addition 12 to 15 year olds are also being invited to trials at our Stanway School training centre on Thursday evenings as we look to progress all of our Development squads for next season.

Rocky’s Seedlings
We are still inviting boys to join our under 7s, so if you are interesting in joining our team please contact our youth development manager on 07496 810606 there is also one vacancy in our U8s squad for a talented player that wants to improve.

Seedlings Results
U10s Started as they left off before the xmas break with a convincing victory goals from Frank 3 Charlie 2 Jack 2 Christian and Zac one each. Bobby was adjudged mom, well done boys we are proud of you.

Our Development Squads
CTFC U12’s 2-0 Little Oakley Blue
Yet another good result for the mighty u12s despie a very difficult set of circumstances the boys continue to show great team spirit under the excellent stewardship of Ben. Goals scored by Ashley and new boy Dylan.

CTFC U13’s 1-2 Wivenhoe Town
A mixed performance, some good approach play but numerous goal scoring opportunities were squandered add to that two individual errors that cost us two goals and we end up losing a game that should have been won by half time. So a great opportunity to win a trophy has gone, strive to bring your A game every week boys, don’t accept second best. Our goal was scored by Declan.

CTFC U14’s 9-0 Harwich
A dominant display saw another comfortable 3 points gained which keeps the boys in contention for the title. Goals coming from Josh 6, Harry, Brandon and Charlie 1 each

Feering Falcons 3-1 CTFC U15’s
This result ended any hope of winning the championship however we still need to finish as high as possible and there is a good opportunity in the cups.

CTFC U16’s 11-0 Bures
After last weeks disappointment we made Bures pay as the forwards were in rampant, mood 3-0 at half time and room for improvement was followed by a much more disciplined 2nd half. Special mention to Olly who had a superb game and Ethan who plays well every week whichever position he plays in. Goals were scored by Ethan 4 Harry 3 Will J 2 Will W 1 and Casper 1

CTFC U18’s 2-3 Springfield
A good game was spoilt by some bizarre refereeing two of the Springfield goal were dubious at best, one having come back into play of the wheel of the goal frame, which was behind the line, the other A la Geoff Hurst came down from the bar and was adjudged to have crossed the line despite the ref being 40 yards away. Having said that we only had ourselves to blame, whilst we were clearly the best side you cannot squander as many chances as we did and expect to win. Hopefully a lesson cruelly learnt. Scorers Elliott and Didi.
