Youth Results Roundup (Week 9)

Rocky’ s Seedlings – CTFC Youth Results 5.11.17

Rocky wants to remind everyone that Saturday 11th November is a very important day, and everyone is invited.

Saturday morning is training as usual for reception class 7s 8s 9s and 10s then at 3pm the first team are playing Walsham Le Willows and we would like as many of you as possible to come and support, so bring your Mums and Dads, Nans and Grandads, because after the match there is a huge firework display for you all to enjoy, together with food stalls and the new club-house will be open. Oh yes and of course Rocky will be there for selfies.

We are still inviting boys to join our under 7s, so if you are interested in joining our team please contact our youth development manager on 07496 810606 there is also one vacancy in our U8s squad for a talented player that wants to improve.

CTFC U7s Its that boy Hadley again another four goals and one from new boy Stanley P as well, but most important was a good team performance and lots of smiley faces. See you Saturday night boys!

CTFC U8s Adam was pleased with the effort today boys, but we must concentrate all the time if we can, five goals is very good, James 2 Oscar, Nathan and Jake one each well done and keep it going.

CTFC U9s Not one of the better days for the Under 9s but Chris tells me that some lessons were learnt, not all teams play attractive football and sometimes you do not get what you deserve. Keep listening to Chris boys, keep passing and keep smiling.
U10s

102 MAGNIFICENT GOALS from this exciting team in just 8 games, that is truly amazing, and manager Steve informs me that they have only conceded 1. Another six in today’s game scorers were Frank 2, Lincoln 2 and Logan and Bobby one each.

Our Development Squads

CTFC U12s
2 – 1 Reed Hall
Yet another hard earnt victory, this group do not like to lose, showing great determination every week, goals were from Keiron who looks a very good little player and the other was an Own Goal.

CTFC U13s 4 – 1 Shield Academy (County Cup Round 3)
A special treat for this talented bunch as I managed to get permission to play on the hallowed turf, and the boys certainly rose to the occasion. Playing some of their best football so far this season, to storm into the fourth round, goals coming from Hadley, Dylan, Keiron and Freddy.

CTFC U14s  2 – 2  Reed Hall
A rare draw this week and still top of the league goals coming from Josh and Brandon who put in another solid performance.

CTFC U15s 1 – 2 Tempest
Unfortunately the failure to punish teams for good approach play has again cost the 15s , we must convert more chances if we are to get what we deserve, remember it only needs to be passed into the net to score, keep practising, and the goals will come, the goal this week was scored by Euan.

CTFC U16s  0 – 3 Colchester Villa  (County Cup Round 2)
A great effort from the boys, playing a team doing well in the division above, we more than matched them in the first half and at 0-0 I was of the opinion that whoever scored first would probably win, unfortunately with 20 minutes to go they got a goal from a corner. Two late goals then came as we went in search for the equaliser, but 3-0 was not a fair reflection and their manager paid tribute to the battle we had given them. Heads up boys this Sunday we have an important league match with Halstead where we can get back to winning ways.

CTFC U18s  2 – 1 Reed Hall
Just like the 15s and 16s we saw the importance of scoring from chances created this game should have been over by half-time and if it had been a boxing match it would have been stopped. However poor finishing and 2-0 meant a nervous last 5 minutes as the visitors scored late on. Fortunately, the result was not affected and we got the win. But we must be more ruthless in front of goal. Well done boys. Goals came from Josh and Elliott.
