Youth Results Roundup (Week 7)

Rocky’s Seedlings – CTFC Youth Results 22.10.17

CTFC U7s U8s No games this week.

CTFC U9s
Rocky is full of admiration for the U9s it was two windy for Rocky to attend this week but he understands from your manager Chris that despite nearly being blown over, you went all the way to Holland- on Sea and came home with a splendid victory, new boy Rory scored on his debut, “well done Rory”, Reagan and Jude got the other two. I’m not surprised you are doing so well, Chris and Duncan have told me how hard you all try in training.

CTFC U10s
Like the U9s the U10s are enjoying a great run of results this season, however this week was a sterner test than usual away to Stanway Rovers. We still won the game quite comfortably, but that was largely due to an outstanding performance from our super goalie Ryhs who made several wonderful saves. Goalkeepers can often get forgotten, but not here at Coggeshall, where we have Jordan our own Goalkeeping coach and very good group of young keepers. Goalscorers this week were Frank 2, Logan, Lincoln and Christian one each.

CTFC U12s 1 – 0 Colchester Athletic
It is quite remarkable what is happening with this group of boys, who have so quickly developed a real squad ethic and a determination to win. Every one of them gives their best for each other and they came through this tough examination and got the result that their teamwork deserved. The winning goal coming late in the game and was scored by Tony well done boys, keep it going.

CTFC U13s
No game this week, therefore still unbeaten.

Elmden Rovers 5 – 0 CTFC U14s (League Cup Round 2)
A disappointing result this week, against a team in the lower reaches of the A league, this shows us all how much work in training is to be done to improve if we are to fulfil this seasons objective and compete next year at the higher level. Heads up boys I’m sure it’s only a blip, the hard work begins on Thursday.

CTFC  U15s 5 -2 Wivenhoe  (League Cup round 2)
Mason at the helm this week as John was with the first team and the boys responded to his encouragement with a magnificent victory in the Cup over a fellow Thurlow Nunn side. Goals this week came from a Euan hatrick and 1 each from Joe and Raff. Well done boys keep it up.

Frinton and Walton 1 – 8 CTFC U16s
The U16s Injury jinx continues and the squad is now extremely stretched we now have four boys either nursing long term injuries or playing less than fully fit and three other absentees, which meant no subs this week and a one point only ten on the pitch.
So on the face of it an 8-1 victory should be very pleasing, except these boys have so much potential and set such high standards that when they don’t perform as they can, we all get frustrated. However the last 10 minutes we were magnificent and we will focus on that, well done boys Man of the Match was Jay and goals came from from Harry 4 Will W 2 Ethan and Kasper 1 each.

CTFC U18s No Game
