CTFC U12s This newly formed team is still recruiting talented players, however we already have some promising little footballers and under the guidance of their enthusiastic young manager Ben they are sure to improve week on week. At a meeting held after training the parents were advised of our objectives for the season ahead and we highlighted the long-term benefits of being at Coggeshall Town as these boys start their competitive footballing careers. Listen to Ben boys and you will soon be winning and smiling.

CTFC U13s 8 – 3 Cornard
Despite being behind again this week this talented bunch, eventually got their act together, to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, goals this week coming from Declan, Harry, Charlie, Callum, Sonny, Mish and Freddy got 2 that’s seven different scores (just like watching BARCELONA !!!!!!! Managers MOM Keelen

CTFC U14s 5 – 6 Colchester Athletic
The 14s were on the wrong end of this 11 goal thriller and in so doing brought their unbeaten run to an end. However Marcus was delighted with some of the football played and the result could have gone either way. Special mention to recent signing Sam who scored his first hat-trick for Coggeshall the other scorers were Harry, and Josh. Well done boys, bounce back next week.

CTFC U15s 1 – 4 Layer
I watched this game and whilst the result was not what we wanted it doesn’t tell the whole story. We could and probably should have been 2-0 up after 10 minutes however the woodworks intervention prevented that and at half time with us controlling large parts of the game we found ourselves two down. It was much the same in the second half and we were 4 down, before Jed atoned for his first half confrontation with the bar, with a wonderful shot into the roof of the net. The margins in this game were slim, the lesson is punish or be punished, keep passing keep smiling it will come good.

CTFC U16s 10 – 0 Clacton Town
Along with the 13s, the 16s remain unbeaten in the league another convincing victory. With more clinical finishing and a more disciplined team performance the scorline could and should have been more emphatic. Scorers were Harry 3 Ethan 3 Will W 2 Will J 2 see you on Thursday boys well done.

Dagenham & Redbridge 6 – 0 CTFC U18s
The F.A Youth Cup adventure is sadly over, however there are certainly no recriminations for this talented group that have been galvanised by Brian and Marcus into a tightly knit squad that work for and trust in each other. Coggeshall were away to Dagenham and Redbridge playing in a huge stadium against boys that play and train with each other four days a week and have been doing so for a couple of years. Despite the odds we were only 1-0 down at half-time and had a good opportunity to equalise, although the final result was 6-0 three of these were conceded late on when bodies and minds were tired. The experience is immeasurable as to the amount of good this experience will do the boys, most of whom have the opportunity to do it all over again next season.

Back to reality on Sunday and back to winning with an emphatic 6-1 League Cup victory away to neighbours Halstead Town, goals coming from Dylan 2, Joe, Tom E, John and Elliott one each. Well done boys you are a credit to all concerned.
