Coggeshall Town suffered defeat for only the second time at West Street this season after they were beaten by Brantham. Coggeshall dominated the whole of the first half creating numerous chances but only registered one goal through Tom Monk to lead 1-0 at the break. The second half was much the same as the first with “ The Town “ having the best of the possession but failing to take their chances to increase their lead. Brantham had their best spell during the second half and were awarded a very dubious penalty on the hour which they converted to level the scores. As the match approached the final whistle Brantham were awarded a freekick on the edge of the box, again it looked a harsh decision by the referee. The visitors took advantage though and smashed the freekick into the far corner to give them all three points.
