Coggeshall Town dropped 2 points on the road at Kirkley and Pakefield. The team started the game poorly and things didn’t get any better as the game went on. A game of few chances meant that the scores were level 0-0 at the break with neither team really testing the opposition goalkeeper. Coggeshall started the second half slowly to and fell behind after 50 mins after some slack defending allowed a Kirkley player to slot home a loose ball from 12 yards out to give the home team the lead. After falling behind Coggeshall seemed to get motivated to try and get back in the game and started to get on top of possession as they looked to force an equaliser. After a period of sustained pressure Coggeshall finally got back on level terms after a great run and cross from Aaron Cosgrave ended up with a Kirkley defender turning the ball into his own net. The match ended up with a 1-1 scoreline with Coggeshall under performing on the day but managing to keep their unbeaten run going.
