Coggeshall Town suffered defeat on the road at Thetford Town after a poor performance by the whole team. It was an uncharacteristic display from Coggeshall as they never got going throughout the whole 90 minutes. The visitors fell behind early on after some slack defending allowed Thetford to score a simple opener. The home team doubled their advantage just before half time with a deflected effort from distance. The first half came to an end with Coggeshall 2 goals down and at that point not looking likely to get back into the game. Coggeshall started the second half slightly better and eventually started to put Thetford under some pressure.Coggeshall pulled a goal back on the hour after a nice shot from the edge of the box from Conor Hubble. Coggeshall almost drew level shortly after but Correy Davidson’s effort came back off the crossbar. With ” The Town ” now looking like they may equalise disaster struck at the other end with Thetford scoring a third to effectively put the game out of reach for Coggeshall who returned home with nothing from the long trip to Thetford.
