Football Foundation Funding

Coggeshall Town Football Club are pleased to announce that they have secured grant funding of £46,510 from the Football Foundation to help with the installation of floodlighting at West Street. The floodlights are needed for the club to continue its growth and development which will hopefully end up with promotion back into the National League System at the end of the current season. The club lost its senior status in 1999 after being relegated from The Essex Senior League after several seasons struggling to maintain playing at that level.

The Football Foundation grant is a huge boost for the club as the cost of installing the lights totals around £ 65,000. Even with the grant there is still a fair amount of money required to complete the work but the club are in the fortunate position to have many people out there who are working extremely hard to raise funds to cover the total cost.On the pitch the season is looking like it is going to have a exciting finish with the team still having everything to play for with only a handful of games to play. With the confirmation of the funding this week things are looking positive all round for the future of the club.
