Match Report

Coggeshall Town picked up a useful point on the toad at Haverhill. On a very windy night on a poor playing surface it looked a tough proposition for Coggeshall who were looking to keep up their unbeaten run. Coggeshall started well and looked a threat going forward. Nnamdi Nwachuku had a couple of good chances early on to break the deadlock with the best effort coming back off the post.As the half went on “ The Town “ were definitely having the better of things but couldn’t find a way through. The scores were level 0-0 at half time.

The second half began with both teams trying hard to find a way through in a game with plenty of effort in it but lacking quality due to the poor conditions. Coggeshall continued to press and eventually got in front with a great headed goal from Ross Wall who found the net after cross from Daniel Cunningham. The visitors were pretty comfortable at this point and should of increased their lead after Wall and Nwachuku both went close but the Haverhill keeper was equal to the. With only a few minutes on the clock remaining Coggeshall paid the price for not converting one of the many chances they had created as Haverhill scored a break away goal to level things up on the night. Coggeshall tried hard in the final minutes to get back in front but left Haverhill with a point in the end which they will feel should have been 3.

The team are back at West Street this week when Thetford Town are the visitors.
