Double winners season draws to a close
Coggeshall Town Football Club ended their season on Saturday night with there end of season presentation. After such a successful campaign there were many contenders who had a chance of winning any of the three trophies that were up for grabs. The winners were Danny Scott who picked up the players player of the season, club captain Luke Clark who picked up the managers player of the season and Jon Slater who scooped the most improved player of the season. All three players have worked extremely hard all season and fully deserved their awards. The players took time out before getting on with the end of season celebrations to have some squad photos taken with both the league championship trophy and the league cup trophy. The whole club is looking forward to 1st Team competing in next seasons Eastern Counties League Division One. The club can now confirm that the reserve team will take the place of the 1st team next season in the Essex and Suffolk Border League Premier Division. Another exciting development is that Coggeshall Town have also had there application to enter a team in the Eastern Counties Under 18’s League accepted for the coming season. The clubs pre-season fixture list is nearly completed with some really great games to look forward too already arranged, more details will be released in the next few days.
